The Cosy Kingdom energy advice service is currently receiving an unprecedented number of referrals and requests for advice and support.
We have increased the size of our team this year but the pressures of the cost-of-living and energy crisis on households across Fife means the demand for the service exceeds our current capacity to help people.
Cosy Kingdom’s phone lines close at 3 pm on Friday 23rd December and reopen at 10 am on Monday 2nd January. During this time, we will be directing people to other sources of support.
If you are looking to arrange a general energy advice telephone appointment or home visit, our current wait time is around five weeks. If your issue isn’t urgent please contact us in the New Year to arrange an appointment.
If your issue is urgent, we will attempt to help as soon as possible. However, we can’t guarantee how quickly we will be able to respond to your query and arrange support.
We’ve published a blog that lists some of the places where you can go for support: https://www.cosykingdom.org.uk/christmas-opening-hours-and-where-to-go-for-support-2022/
Further support and resources are available on Fife Council’s cost of living webpage: https://our.fife.scot/gethelp
If you are a Fife Council tenant needing support to keep meters topped up, please speak to your housing officer who may be able to assist. If you are not sure who your housing officer is, you can call the general housing enquiry line on 03451 550033 to establish this.
Thank you for your patience at this busy time.
