At these events you will gain an understanding of how to save energy and heat in your community spaces. You will learn about both immediate and future changes you can make to your building and how it is heated as we introduce you to the HeatHack programme through games and activities.
HeatHack’s founder will explain the programme’s key learning points and answer any questions you have about what they mean for you.
In this free workshop we will share:
- The importance of heat loss, ventilation and keeping your building dry and well maintained.
- The requirements of older or listed buildings like churches
- Heating types (Heat pumps, wet & dry systems), controls (timed and thermostatic) and the benefits
- How to understand energy suppliers & pick the right one for your space
- How to get your organisation/community to support the change
- Sources of support & funding to help you plan for the future
What’s the catch you might ask? There is none! All the materials we use are freely available online for you to use in whatever way makes most sense for you.
