Grants and Funding for managing fuel debt

Several energy suppliers have grants or trust funds available to support customers who fall behind on their energy bills. In this guide, we’ve listed the schemes currently available from different energy suppliers.

Please note this may not be a fully accurate list as some funds may open and close at short notice.

Dealing with debt

Before applying for financial support with energy debt you must ensure you’re in control of your bills and energy consumption first. For this reason, some energy suppliers will insist on speaking to a money advisor first. Accessing support to clear debt is not a long-term solution to issues you may be experiencing staying on top of your expenditure.

You can find out more in our Dealing with Debt guide.

Visit Citizens Advice & Rights Fife Money Advice Portal for more information on money advice and support with income maximisation.
