Andy’s Story


Here’s how Energy Advisor Barry helped Andy during the current crisis:

 

Andy was struggling to keep his meters topped up and cupboards full due to deductions on his Universal Credit payments. He had no food or credit on his meters and he had already used his emergency credit facility, so needed to repay this in full before getting any credit back on the meters. He owed just over £15 on each meter.

 

Energy Advisor, Barry conducted a 3-way conference call with Andy and his supplier to see if they could help. We also supported Andy by putting a £30 top up onto each of his meters. This helped him pay back his emergency credit and made sure he had gas and electricity. We gave Andy some general advice to help him be as efficient and economical with his credit as possible. We also referred Andy to his local foodbank so he could access an emergency food parcel.

 

Andy was delighted with the help we provided and was able to self-isolate with confidence knowing he could contact Cosy Kingdom if he needed further support in future.
