Utilita Warm Home Discount week – August 2018

Utilita Warm Home Discount Week

*Applications for the 2018/2019 Utilita Warm Home Discount are closed as of  2 pm Thursday 15th of August, if you missed out you may still be able to switch suppliers and apply for the discount with them*

The Warm Home Discount is a Government scheme designed to help those who are vulnerable, or on a lower income, meet the costs of heating their home during the colder winter months. Suppliers with more than 250,000 customers are obligated to offer the scheme, you can find out more about these suppliers here.

As Utilita are a smaller supplier, they are not obligated to offer as many payments as some of the larger suppliers. However, here in Fife, many households are supplied by Utilita and are likely to be eligible for the scheme. Due to the smaller numbers they have to offer, Utilita has made the decision to only open the applications for their broader group scheme for a period of 1 week, beginning on the 8th of August, starting at 2pm.

NB. If you are with Utilita and on Pension Credit, you will meet the criteria for the Core group and won’t need to make an application as long as you were a customer on the 8th July 2018.
